@dloser but Yoire has also 10 challenges and no have problems with the score.

Yoire has the same problem if you look at it. You just have more solved on yoire. And gizmore can tweak the scoring a bit per site.

Actually gekko has 20 Challenges because after You solve something, You can share it on Facebook for more points. But Wechall says that there are ten challenges only... Interesting

We once patched the challcount /= 2, because of this.
Is it correct that there are 10 different challs, which get solved a second time due to a facebook like?

If that's the case, we probably should cast a vote if it should count as 10 or 20, as I am not quite sure if it's nice to force people to use facebook.

I'm not sure about the FB thing either, but this is a way to charge people for playing gekko.

Maybe I should introduce a new notion of 'community challenge' on my site. But this also means that I have to keep track of 'challenge points' and 'community challenge points' separately... Sounds a bit complicated but doable. I don't have to change the interface, just report different challenge count and points to wechall.

Let me think about that.

This has been previously discussed on IRC. The general consensus was that getting more points for sharing is undesirable, hence the '/2'.

To my knowledge, the WeChall ranking is meant to reflect the skills of a person. How well it does that is another discussion, but I think we can all agree that sharing, donating, posting etc. are not things we consider hacking skills.

I agree with dloser on this. I think the points coming from sharing on fb should be separate from the actual points. It is what cstutoringctr does. They have premium members who can earn more points per solved problem but the score reported to wechall is standard among all members.

It seems that the facebook sharing is still counted to the points maximum. It seems also that the fb points rewarding is not working. Is there any update on this one in 4 years?
