sid3  Go to the Sidology challenge

Quite easy to find out the first two but guess if I were older it'd be easier to find out which one is sid3 haha

Age is not important, but information is

I found first 2 games, it was simple. for third game I need a small hint. is it from 1987?

It`s not from 1987.

But i think you don`t need a hint for this anyway

Got one game. And I think I got the other too, but am not sure.
Is it 1**7 T**e *ar*?


EDIT: Ignore my post. Got the second game too, although finding it was
a process of trial and error. There isn't much information regarding
it on the web.

Do you mean it's too obvious (like audio from a game like Mario)
or do you mean something else?

BTW, the third file seems a bit odd at first sight. It doesn't
look like it has any meta data(or EXIF or ID3 or whatever)

Does it have anything in it that we can recognize it by?
(like the first two SIDs)

PS: This doesn't have anything to do with LizardTech, right?

It is not a well known game, but you don`t need a hint because it`s obvious what to do.

So you need a different technique to identify the file.

I'm totally lost! I don't know how to identify SID files any other way

I tried STIL, but since you've obscured the metadata, It wasn't any help
I also looked online and was really surprised to find a plethora of sites and tools for playing SID files
(I didn't find this earlier. I found the names of the other 2 games using just Google and searching a site I found out hosted a large DB of SID files, Musicians, Games, etc)
I also found a really good application that played SID files
and even had GUI!!

But I'm stuck. I have some weird information with me too, but I can't seem to make any sense of it. At least it's not useful at all with STIL.

Please help! A hint might help.

EDIT: Just had a brainwave after I posted this
SOLVED IT!! YAY!!
I made sense of the two strange pieces information I had and "I Won!!" ;)
I simply LOVE this chall Gizmore! Great job! Really cool chall!
Don't you think you need to give more points for solving this chall?
This really was one of the hardest chall I solved yet
(besides the 'Can You See The Light' chall by anto)

Anyway, superb chall

There is information out there. I never participated in the kind of activity that would have exposed me to these particular files but I was able to find the information needed to solve the challenge. It is out there. Don't give up.
