How do I get to know the rotation number , it could be anything like 3,4,5,6......?

Yes. I know , it is very simple. I also found the online tool for that and I know the answer. I want to know that does this question has to be done by that tool only, or I have to do that by myself.

A trick might be frequencies.
Assume you have two times the same later after another, like 'abtteg'.
It is more likely that these letters are 'ss' 'tt' 'mm' etc than other possibilities.
Also counting the highest occurance helps. The letter 'e' is the most common in english.
But it's totally fine to do with the aid of computers.
