Alright I'm feeling spectacularly dumb here. I understand bit masks and see how to use steganabara to reveal hidden images (ie. the wiki tree/cat example). I even recreated that part in python to play around with it. I'm either really overthinking or really underthinking it
The green channel looks very interesting in a histogram but any attempt at just isolating that doesn't do anything for me either. Any hints?

Were the data is hidden precisely varies per session. But the histogram should indeed indicate where you should look.
