Good news everyone Smile

I am very proud to announce a real new feature on wechall.

epoch_qwert, a skilled penguin ninja challenger, came up with the fabulous idea to link traditional ssh wargames via identd authentication.

Those "traditional wargames" do not have useraccounts, so they could not get linked, until now!
Basically all that is needed to link a wargame and score them is an identd running on that box; that's it!
You can read about how it works in the join_us => warbox section.

There is a new page in your profile: Warboxes where you can find information how to make use of it to gather points for playing these wargames.

Because OTW, the first wargame that runs an identd for us, also has webchalls, i also implemented a feature that i call "warflags".
Warboxes can have Warflags added, which are just like challs we can add to a site, one by one.
This also allows us to link any site that could not join because there are simply no useraccounts there as well.

To link a site that has a warbox or warflags attached to it, simply use your wechall username, there is no check to be done in the case the site does not have special wechall linking scripts.

Please note that all is pretty new and probably has some bugs lurking around.
Also note that the Natas box on OTW does not work yet, as we are still working on a nice way to import the warflags.

If you have questions, found a bug, or concerns, please post them here.

We all wish you...
Happy Challenging!

Coded by gizmore. Bugs are to be expected and are actually features - Including the ones which require database rollbacks.

Seriously though - good work and grats Smile

I am a moron.

I did not test the final setup for OTW, and it currently plain does not work.

The reason is most likely that the firewall rules are not sorted out yet, because i have moved a script to another box.
I will post here again as soon as things are sorted out.

OTW should work now Smile

Currently levels get added on the fly, as soon as someone solves it the first time.
Your warbox token in profile->warboxes does not expire atm, to make it easier for you to add levels.

I will also add the levels for the natas box by hand now.

Happy Challenging!
