Loginmatrix was the first challenge site I played with back in 2002. I wanted to revisit it, because of good memories. I felt like a real hacker when solving those JS problems that evening. Soon after that I found hackquest (which has been gone for a while now and mod-x, which is in maintenance mode for a few weeks).

So I figured that since these sites are disappearing but some people have romantic feelings about them, at least I try to resurrect loginmatrix.com.

I went to the wayback machine and found almost all levels. I made it available at

https://csokavar.hu/projects/loginmatrix/

This is pretty basic javascript, as it has turned out to me as well.

Anyway, play with it if you like. Note that it is not complete. The last two levels are still missing, and I cannot find a way to get them back. So I ask the wechall community, one of you might remember how it was, or have a backup somewhere.

It would be possible to add the site as "Flagged Warbox" as is.
This requires no scoring scripts or user accounts on your end,
just adding the chall names and solutions on wechall (Warbox with flags).
Solutions are hashed, so you don't spoil anything.

Happy Challenging!

If i ever do an other challenge site besides gekko, it will be way better than this. ;) I have a vague idea about oldschool internet stuff, bringing back the atmosphere of bbs-es and alike, but nothing concrete. Guys, play gekko! It’s not long but fun to do.
